The first days I met my Starberry friend were nothing like the days that followed. The first few days were awful, just depressing in every way. I was on a months long losing streak of trying to get myself to do anything that could help me become a rock n roll star. I was about to run out of all the money I saved up; I really thought I had more then enough when I quit my job. I ended up spending most of it on food and World of Warcraft. It's hard not to think of myself as a complete moron after how much nothing I accomplished over the course of two years.  It was gonna be my last night before I was gonna give in the towel and put myself back in a cubicle. I wanted to let my failure sink in so I sat on my porch in the middle of the night and tried my best to look contemplative. This is when me and the little guy met. I saw a comet rip through the sky and crash into the golf course across the street. When I went to check it out it, it turned out to be the Starberry's spaceship. It was about the size of my chest and it was in very bad shape. I saw a little star shaped alien trying to crawl out and I rushed over to help him. He looked scared and started banging on the ship. What I saw inside was four other Starberries, but they weren't moving. I took them all to my house and tried to nurse them to health. Nursing an alien to health is no easy task and I failed four times. The first days we spent together I just held him as he cried, only getting up to get him water and strawberries. After a week or so, he started to act 'normal'. I took our meeting as a sign from divinity. I had failed myself, but I was given the chance to not fail someone else. No matter what happens I was going to do everything I could to help my new friend adjust to life on Earth and find a way home.

I made a friend and it was sad
